I tried Avenum for a couple of hours. The core idea is one I actually want: paste in a rough project description and get back a task list you can start from. That part works. Everything around it still feels half finished. The first few minutes nearly lost me. I signed in with Google, landed on a dashboard, and every other menu item was dead. No error, nothing happened when I clicked. Turns out you have to create a workspace first from a small button in the top left corner, and nothing points you to it. I almost closed the tab thinking it was broken. Once I found it by accident, everything started working. After that it went better. I pasted a short brief about a made up hiking app and within seconds it gave me three epics and five tasks, with real descriptions instead of just titles. The task editor is clean and the docs page is genuinely thorough. What I liked: - Paragraph to a sensible plan in seconds, and the descriptions explain what to do and what the result should look like - Clean, readable interface, light and dark both fine - Nice task editor with priority, status, assignee in a side panel - Long and actually useful documentation What I didn't like: - No real first run flow, you're left to discover the workspace step yourself - It generated everything in Turkish even though my brief was in English, because of a language setting buried in settings - All five tasks got assigned to me, even though the brief clearly described a three person team - No subtasks despite the marketing, and the epic grouping vanished after saving - Export showed and downloaded a fake demo task list, not my actual tasks, which is a problem since export is the whole pitch - Dashboard numbers look fake, and direct linking or refreshing any inner page kicks you back to the dashboard The direction is right and the hard part sort of works, but the first run, the defaults, and export all need work before I'd rely on it. For now, around 3 out of 5. Worth watching, not something I'd trust yet.
