I tried LearnHouse for a couple of hours, going through it the way a teacher setting up a school would: signed in with Google, created an organisation, generated a course with AI, edited a lesson, published it, then looked at what a learner actually sees. The onboarding surprised me in a good way. Most tools drop you on an empty dashboard, but here there's a proper four step setup wizard followed by a six item getting started checklist. You know what to do in the first five minutes. The AI course builder is the strongest part. I gave it a two sentence brief about a Python course for beginners and within seconds it produced a sensible six chapter structure with sixteen activities, real descriptions under each one, learning objectives, and even a capstone project at the end. The block editor is clean too, with a wide range of content types (code, quiz, LaTeX, PDF, flashcards, interactive scenarios), and light and dark both work fine. The published course page and the learner view look genuinely professional. The stuff around the core still feels unfinished though. The first thing that got me was the language inconsistency. The marketing site and the setup wizard are in Turkish, but the plan selection step, the entire dashboard, and the learner facing course navigation are all in English. It speaks Turkish and English at the same time. My brief was in Turkish and the AI generated the whole course in English anyway, ignoring the language completely. I typed "Patika Kampüs" as the organisation name and the address field turned it into "patika-kamp-s", dropping the Turkish ü instead of converting it and leaving a dangling dash. That's invalid, so the Create button silently stayed disabled with no error message. I only figured it out by retyping the address myself. The AI only builds the skeleton. All sixteen activities came back empty, and generating the actual lesson content is a separate step locked behind the Pro plan. On top of that, every activity in a freshly created course stays in Draft and never shows to learners. When I published the course and viewed it as a learner, every chapter said "0 Activities" and the page told me to "start your learning journey with 0 activities". There's no warning anywhere that draft activities are hidden, and no bulk publish option. Saving a lesson threw two 403 errors in the console on the activity state endpoint. I couldn't tell whether the edit actually persisted, and the Save button never turned into a confirmed "Saved" state. What I liked: - Real first run flow with a setup wizard and a checklist, you're never left guessing - AI builds a coherent course skeleton in seconds, chapters and objectives make sense - Clean block editor with a lot of content types, light and dark both solid - Published course page and learner view look polished and professional - Open source, self hostable, 0% payment fees, transparent pricing What I didn't like: - Half translated: dashboard and learner navigation are English only, so is the plan step - AI generated the course in English despite a Turkish brief - Address field mangled the Turkish characters and locked the button with no error - AI only gives you an empty skeleton, content is a separate Pro feature - New courses keep every activity in Draft, learners see "0 activities" with no warning - 403 errors on save, unclear if the edit stuck - "What you will learn" items show a generic 📝 icon instead of checkmarks, looks half done - Free plan stamps a "Made with LearnHouse" watermark on your public course The core idea and the editor are solid, and the AI planning genuinely helps. But the language consistency, the draft versus published logic after your first course, and the small rough edges need work before I'd trust it to run a school on. For now, around 4 out of 5. Worth watching.
